Lexington Field Live: 710 & Shamrock

june7th_thumbHello summer!  We kick off the summer season, off a very successful CD Release Show, tomorrow night!  We have two big shows this weekend.  The first one will take place on Friday, June 7 at 710 Beach Club in Pacific Beach. This is a charity show for Liam’s Fund (Children’s Hospital) that Bryan’s wife Sadaf helped organize.  We get to share the stage with San Diego super band GARBO and SDMA Winner JOSH DAMIGO!   It’s gonna be one hell of a night!   Then on Saturday, June 8, we return to our favorite watering hole outside San Diego, The Shamrock in Murrieta.  See you at the shows!

Here is some important info on the big show at 710 Beach Club:

100% of event proceeds will be donated in support of Liam’s Fund for Neurosurgery, which buys neurosurgical equipment for Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego.

Liam’s Fund is named for Liam Gutierrez, who was born with Hydrocephalus on November 10, 1998. By the age of 18 months, Liam has had more than 75 brain surgeries. Because of his unique situation, Liam’s parents and doctors joined together to research and find ways of helping Liam, other children with Hydrocephalus and any child needing brain surgery. This grassroots group has raised more than $260,000 through car washes, bake sales, garage sales, Shamu & You Family Walk teams, and their team at the Carlsbad 5000. Countless other affected parents and children have banded together over the years to help this effort, and have all worked together on new ways to continue getting the local community involved and help raise money for this cause.

Thirteen years ago, my cousin Christina suffered a brain aneurysm. Due to a miracle and the excellent surgeons at Rady Children’s Hopsital, she survived. Six surgeries and thirteen years later, Christina is a graduate of CSUN and is pursuing her dream career in fashion design. I remember sitting by her side surgery after surgery and thinking about her tenacity and strength. During and after her recovery, her family dove in head first into helping other families in similar situations. Because of their dedication and my love for Christina, my husband and I wanted to find a way to get involved with the cause and help Liam’s Fund raise extra money for their neurosurgical equipment. We thought a summer concert would be a great idea!

Lexington Field, a local American Fiddle Rock band, will be headlining the event at the 710 Beach Club, with more bands to be announced in the next few weeks. They will be releasing their second full length album, No Man’s War, in May, so you’ll be able to hear some new songs along with some of your favorites! If you arrive from 8pm – 10pm, your ticket price includes a complimentary beverage.

Online ticket sales now closed!  You can still buy tickets at the door on Friday, 6/7/13. We’re expecting a large crowd, so buy your tickets now! Bring your family and friends, have a great dinner on the beach, and enjoy a great show for a great cause! This effort has helped so many families, and we would like to help continue making that happen.
