To close out our successful 2012 year we had the opportunity to play with Fat Wreck Chords bluegrass punk outfit OLD MAN MARKLEY at The Slidebar in Fullerton, CA. We are big fans of their upbeat, high energy style, something we have in common with them. The show was awesome and they asked us to come open for them in San Diego at the Belly Up Tavern in February 2013. That show was off the hook too! After that, Old Man Markley went off to tour with Dropkick Murphys and release their second full length album Down Side Up which made it to #1 on the Billboard Top Bluegrass chart. So, that’s the back story.
Fast forward to today. We are super excited we get to start 2014 with another show with Old Man Markley! We will be making our return to The Casbah this Sunday, January 26 to rock out with OMM and another rad band from Las Vegas, RUSTY MAPLES. This is going to be a transformational year for Lexington Field and we are honored to have this show be a part of what we are trying to do in 2014.
