Here we are at Day Six of our National Tour across the United States and heading to St. Louis, MO. This will be our first day off from playing shows. This has been such a great tour so far and we are excited to have a day off and enjoy some sights in St. Louis. My brother went to Washington University years ago so I haven’t been back to St. Louis since then. We headed out from Kansas City, MO after a great show at the Riot Room with Three Dollar Band and Flannigan’s Right Hook. Took about 4 hours to get there and spent a few hours relaxing in the hotel before heading out to the Cardinals game at Busch Stadium! Our friends, Chad from Rusty Nail and Randy from Rocking The Craic, a Celtic music blog site came over to the hotel before the game. We planned on getting some bbq, but the place was closed so we went to Llewylen’s Irish pub and had some bomb food and beer before taking our to go cups on the trolley to the game.
It was a fun game and our merchandise man got a little crazy by dancing around as he does at every show! I think the whole stadium thought he was crazy, but they had a good laugh as we did. There was an amazing drum line performing outside of the stadium after the game with children as young as 6 playing the drums. There was a young boy just hooking it up on the drums and playing all kinds of incredible drum solos. We participated in recording and taking a bunch of pictures as did about 100 other people. It was a nice day off even though we were driving for most of it. Looking forward to a whole day off tomorrow before our show!!!
